Dear Colleagues

Just over two years ago, we launched Hartford HealthCare’s Colleague Resource Groups. The goal was to provide colleagues with shared interests and backgrounds a way to help us better meet the needs of our communities. Quickly, our four groups were created: Black/African American, Hispanic/Latine, Asian/Pacific Islander and LGBTQ+.

By every measure, our CRGs have achieved astounding successes. Members have worked together to advocate, enhance cultural awareness and education, speak out on issues, engage colleagues in community events, and create positive change.

At HHC, we continue to build a true culture of inclusion. Together, we are making our organization a place where our Value of Equity is visibly supported through many efforts, where every colleague feels respected and has the opportunity to contribute.

In this issue of Moments, you can see many examples of how colleagues across HHC are bringing these goals to life every day. I am fiercely proud of these efforts by our CRGs and so many other teams that advance our mission and values.
