A Lifetime of Learning

Autumn is a special season in New England. The glorious foliage and cooler weather make it a favorite time of year for many. Fall also means the reopening of schools and campuses and the return to classrooms for students of all ages. At Hartford HealthCare, we believe we are a classroom for learners all year long.

In this issue, you will see examples of how our colleagues are advancing their careers and growing their opportunities with the assistance of our workforce programs and services.

Support is available online, in classrooms and in person to make the goal of rewarding careers attainable for all. For example, our career exploration tool helps colleagues plan their own path to advancement and outlines the resources and assistance available. Our tuition reimbursement program eases the financial challenge of returning to classrooms to attain a degree or additional credits. And we partner with high schools and numerous colleges to lay out a pathway to healthcare careers for young students and returning learners.

There is more, too – and you can read more in this issue from colleagues who have taken advantage of these opportunities.

We believe a career in healthcare can be a lifetime calling and an ongoing pursuit of excellence. It is our privilege to provide the tools and teaching to create rewarding futures. Our colleagues and our communities benefit because of our work together.

So, enjoy this special autumn season – and appreciate that we are all learners and Hartford HealthCare is our living classroom.
